
William “Bill” McCracken
Biography
William (Bill) McCracken, LCSW, is a Certified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) teacher and a Qualified Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) teacher. He teaches mindfulness-based programs for Brown University, Mindful Leader, and other organizations, helping individuals cultivate awareness, resilience, and emotional balance.
At Brown University, Bill also serves as an MBCT Teacher Trainer, providing training and mentorship to individuals enrolled in the MBCT Teacher Training pathway. With nearly 30 years of meditation practice and extensive experience in clinical social work, he integrates contemplative practices with evidence-based mindfulness approaches in his teaching.
His work emphasizes the practical application of mindfulness to daily life, fostering well-being and emotional balance. He finds great joy in supporting individuals as they integrate mindfulness into their lives and witness the transformative effects it brings.
