This video introduces you to: "A Taste of Mindfulness"
An “Information Session” brings together teachers and participants for presentations and conversations about our classes and your goals.
If you are registered for, or are considering taking Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), or MBSR2, or Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, (MBCT), and well as some of our other classes, you will need to attend a required orientation.
A Mindful Approach To Depression and Anxiety
Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is an effective, scientifically researched method for reducing physical and psychological suffering while building resilience, balance, and peace of mind.
The key difference is that MBSR addresses general stress reduction, whereas MBCT targets symptoms of depression and negative thoughts.
To ensure depth and fidelity in teaching for MBSR teachers, the Mindfulness Center at Brown is committed to high standards of training, assessment and integrity.
